 Norman Francis Boyd

3rd Generation native San Franciscan and Clan Cian member died peacefully Nov. 11, 2013. Born Oct. 7, 1933 in S.F., CA. he resided there until moving to Novato, CA where he lived half the year in Hawaii until 2007, when he moved to Livermore CA. at which time he was lovingly cared for by his niece Heather Boyd Cass and family.

Norman immersed himself in the culture of HI. He took great pride in participating in the building and launching a Wa'akaulua and the Heiau. Norman studied for his Mariner's pilots license. He was an avid deep sea fisherman holding records for catches including a prized 587 Lb. marlon.  Norman also fished the Farralones & Bay area. Norman loved the Giant's and NASCAR (#24 J.G.) and the 49ers. Norm loved gardening and was a great cook.  Upon graduation from St. Ignatius College Preparatory in 1953, Norman served in the Korean War and received his diploma with his life time best friends Charles Cid and Father Capitalo. Norman worked for the City and County of San Francisco in the Water Department for 39 years. Prior to completion of his Journeyman Plumbers Apprenticeship he worked at Southern Pacific Railway.
